1. Play LeBron less than 25 minutes a night
LeBron has nothing left to prove this season. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka failed him by not bringing in shooters and by not landing him a second superstar. One year of LeBron’s precious prime is over, one the Lakers wish ended in the playoffs but it wasn’t meant to be.
It is understandable to play LeBron for the remainder of the season. Fans pay to see the best players in the world play the game they love and they shouldn’t be cheated of that. I would limit LeBron to no more than 25 minutes a night. That will allow him to get his and to put up decent numbers, but sit him and allow him to see out the remainder of the season injury free.
I wanted so much for this season to be the turning point for the Lakers, for playoff basketball to become the norm once again. Unfortunately, that wasn’t meant to be.
All we can do as Lakers fans is look to next season, hope for the best and support the Purple and Gold through thick and thin.
