Magic Johnson may need to scout talent this month!

All I have to say is if the story is true that Magic Johnson ignored the Lakers coaching staff about keeping Julius Randle and Brook Lopez on the roster for Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo and Michael Beasley

Man, this hurts. But, Magic Johnson needs to be replaced from making basketball decisions. Luke Walton is going to be fired, but maybe not for his coaching performance, maybe it’s for a cover-up.

Brook Lopez, along with these reports coming out this week made the Lakers front office of Rob Pelinka and Magic Johnson look very bad last night.

In 35 minutes, Brook Lopez scored a season-high 28 points, grabbed nine rebounds (two offensive), had three assists and steals, plus four blocks. Basically, this game showed that if the Lakers had listened to Luke Walton and his staff, maybe the Lakers would not be making travel plans at this point.

You could tell that Brook Lopez wanted to make a statement when he basically bullied Moritz Wagner under the basket and dunked on him without any regard to Kyle Kuzma‘s half-hearted attempts for help rotation.

As for the shooting problems that the Lakers had all season, Brook Lopez knocked down five shots from the land that Stephen Curry made famous, hitting shots that will have the Lakers fans filling up the team’s Twitter page with questions of why this guy was not kept.

The Bucks just spread the Lakers defense out time and time again then swung the ball over for 3-point shots from the hash marks!

JaVale McGee would constantly get caught out of position all game long like this and the Lakers would get burned. His defense adds to the hot seat and spotlight in the Lakers front office.

Even Lopez, who is not known as a defensive stalwart, outplayed JaVale on defense and then turned it into his own offense!

To top it all off, he even found time to get a stuck basketball off the backboard with a broom and took a bow.

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, meaning D’Angelo Russell, another Magic Johnson castoff, will look for revenge. In other news, Russell scored 27 points in the 4th quarter on his way to 44 points in a 28 point comeback to lead the Brooklyn Nets over Sacramento on the road.

Lakers fans, if Russell puts on a performance like Brook Lopez did in this game or as he did against the Kings, Jeanie Buss will have to start looking at changing the structure of the front office before the draft.

If this keeps up, Luke Walton may get vindicated. It’s that bad folks. The Lakers need someone outside the Lakers “family” in the front office to make sound decisions.
