The Los Angeles Lakers will face plenty of roster decisions this upcoming summer. These are three players the team should re-sign in free agency.

With the Los Angeles Lakers season coming to a close, a mindful eye must be cast to next season. Many different things will occur over the summer, with a coaching change expected, numerous free agents being linked with the Lakers and deciding who they will take with their lottery pick. It is sure to be an extremely busy summer for the Purple and Gold.

Let me get this out of the way early. Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are three players I don’t want to see on the Lakers next season. Their fit within what the Lakers wanted to do this season and what fits well next to LeBron James was abysmal.

Rondo is a ball dominant point guard who can’t shoot. Lance Stephenson being a ball dominant small forward who’s never met a shot he didn’t like and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who although has finished the season strong, is seemingly only putting up numbers now so he can get more money for his next contract.

If KCP was able to do this for the whole season he would unquestionably have made the below list. However, the Lakers have paid him more than enough and it seems like it is time to move on.

While there have been a few players worthy of being kept on next season, with honorable mentions being given to players like Johnathan Williams and Jemerrio Jones, who have finished the season very strong.

But, for me, there are three players who have done enough to be considered for a long term role with the Purple and Gold.

Here are the three players who should be given a hard look about re-signing.
