The most obvious reason for a reunion between LeBron and Kyrie is simple. Kyrie and LeBron have won together and reached the pinnacle together.

They were able to come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat an all-time great team in the Golden State Warriors in 2016. They each knew when to dominate and defer, and it led to a pairing that caused the Warriors enormous problems over a seven-game series. The Warriors were able to overcome the Cavaliers in the next season with the addition of All-World small forward, Kevin Durant, who went on to win the Finals MVP.
