Los Angeles Lakers: 3 ways to upgrade the roster outside Anthony Davis
3. Trade for Bradley Beal
Remember when early in this past season the Wizards were entertaining Bradley Beal offers and the Lakers were the most talked about landing sport for the shooting guard?
It’s been a while, but the Wizards traded one of their young core players in Otto Porter and John Wall‘s contract is outrageous, especially after he tore his Achilles. So, although I do think it would be difficult for the Wizards to trade away their young star in Bradley Beal, I do think it’s becoming more and more of a possibility. And now with the Lakers acquiring the fourth pick of the draft, they have a variety of assets to offer.
LA could send Brandon Ingram and the fourth pick to Washington for Beal, and that would be enticing for Wizards’ upper management. They may even add in a Ball or a Kuzma in a deal for Beal, and that should for sure interest the Wizards.
Beal is 25 and one of the better assets in the league. So, if the Lakers could land a Bradley Beal to pair with LeBron James, both the present and future would look brighter.
