In addition to (hopefully) signing that second star that would make them title contenders, the Los Angeles Lakers will also need to turn their attention to filling the rest of their roster with quality role players.

Let’s face it Los Angeles Lakers Nation, we are preoccupied with and concerned about the team’s ability to sign or trade for LeBron James‘s co-star so that the team can return to contending for a world championship for the first time in what seems like forever.

But whether they succeed at that or not, they will also need several good role players to not only produce in different facets of the game but to take the pressure off of LeBron and that potential second star.

This past season, guys like Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, Lance Stephenson and Reggie Bullock, just to name a few, pulled their weight and even had some moments where they keyed big wins for the purple and gold.

Obviously, money and salary cap space will be a huge consideration in who the Lakers can get to complement their star(s) for next season, but who might be a possibility?

Terrence Ross could be one of those guys. There were whispers early the season that the Lakers may have been interested in trading for him, and this summer he is set to become a free agent.

Why and how could he help the Lakers get to where they need to be?
