Lakers Rumors: Another former teammate of Zion in to work out!

Marques Bolden can be a solid help defender that can rim protect
Look, Marques Bolden is a 6’11”, 250-pound center so we all know that he has some post moves and can dunk the basketball.
Well, so can Greg Monroe, who seemingly plays for a different team seemingly every week. Marques Bolden is going to have to prove to teams in his workouts that he can help a team on the defensive end.
A team like the Los Angeles Lakers can actually use Bolden. They have no centers outside of JaVale McGee (assuming that he is re-signed) and Moritz Wagner, who is the only big man on the roster technically because he’s under contract. God bless Tyson Chandler but do you really think his back can put with another 82 games?
What should the Los Angeles Lakers do?
Rob Pelinka is in a situation here that Marques Bolden can’t help him with. The Los Angeles Lakers can’t sell the fan base with a player that could barely stay on the floor at Duke.
In Bolden’s college career that started with so much hype, a whopping seven of his teammates will be in the NBA next year. Injuries either kept him out of the lineup or his supposed lack of confidence kept him at the back of the Duke bench most of his three years at Duke.
In short, five points per game just won’t get him in a Lakers uniform. He’ll be lucky to get a shot at the summer league team.
The draft is a fluid situation and a lot of information (truth and rumors) will be floating around. Keep it locked to the number one source for Los Angeles Lakers draft coverage.
