This is a very steep price, but the duo of LeBron James and Davis has the potential to be special. The Lakers were able to hold onto Kyle Kuzma in negotiations, as he is the last man standing from the young core.

In addition to getting Davis, the Lakers still have a good amount of cap space left. While the number that they will have to other players is still up in the air depending on when the trade becomes official, the Lakers will have some cap flexibility.

It has been a while since the Lakers were in the playoffs and even longer since they were champions. However, with Davis on his way soon, the Lakers are now the favorites to win it all. Expectations are high, but they can certainly be met.
