– Unique size

As the NBA continues to evolve and adapt, one of the things that scouts like to look at is a players wingspan compared to his height. With a long wingspan, a player is able to guard multiple positions despite him potentially not having the height that would indicate that.

Throughout the draft process, players have their measurables noted, and wingspan has become one of the most important. One of the extremely appealing things about Horton-Tucker are his measurables.

At 240 pounds, Horton-Tucker is pretty stocky for a 6’4” player. However, his 7’1” wingspan is ridiculous. This wingspan will allow Horton-Tucker to play and defend multiple positions. Considering how long his arms are, Horton-Tucker has pretty good form as a shooter. While he didn’t shoot it a particularly high percentage in college, he certainly looks like he can improve.

The length of Horton-Tucker is going to certainly cause some problems for opponents. Being a guard with that type of length is pretty rare. However, his quickness will be tested at the NBA level. More than likely, Horton-Tucker will be playing a bit more on the wing.

Vogel will surely look to implement a strong defensive mindset, and Horton-Tucker should be able to help provide that.
