4. Patrick Beverley

Patrick Beverley is the type of player you’d probably hate or dislike if you had to play against, but would love if he were on your own team. He is feisty, passionate and a little bit irreverent. Remember when he intentionally bumped Lonzo Ball in his first-ever NBA game?

Beverley is also a pretty good option at the point guard spot. He’s not the greatest shooter (41.2 percent for his career) or passer (3.5 assists per game for his career), but he’s a nice 3-point shooter with a lifetime average of 38.0 percent from downtown.

He’s also been known as a solid defensive player, as he’s been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team twice, and has a career average of 1.5 steals per 36 minutes.

Beverley has played the last two seasons for the Clippers, helping them unexpectedly make the playoffs this season where they took two games in Oakland against the defending world champion Golden State Warriors. This would suggest that for him and his family, signing with the Lakers would be so much easier than moving to a new city.

He may also be a relatively inexpensive option, as he’s never made more than $6.5 million in a season.
