Seth Curry
Fresh off his first ever Conference Finals with the Portland Trail Blazers, the younger Curry brother carries on with pride the family tradition.
Seth is the perfect example of the relentless player who has built his career with hard work, overcoming every challenge with his own strength, without living off his brother’s name.
He went undrafted in 2013, developing his career through D-League and Summer Leagues. Injuries slowed him down, but he was able to make the most of his chances, landing multiple contracts around the league and finally carving a role in Portland’s rotation.
Being a Curry, Seth obviously made a name for himself with 3-point shooting. Despite his limited size, he looks better suited to play the shooting guard instead of having to set up others, and spot up shooting.
This role allowed him to shoot the past season a great 45 percent from three. He became a key member off the bench for a Portland team that shocked the NBA reaching the Western Conference Finals to face the Golden State Warriors and his brother, Stephen Curry. He had 16 on 4-7 from three in Game 2.
The 28-year-old played this season on a one-year minimum contract, and though he proved himself, it is hard to say if he will command a bigger contract this summer. There is a high possibility that whoever signs him will get a steal that was on the market to be taken.
