There are three players that Rob Pelinka and company should not have signed while filling out the Los Angeles Lakers roster.
Free agency was a roller coaster for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kawhi Leonard took almost a week to make his shocking decision to join LA’s other team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Leonard and his group took their sweet time choosing between the Lakers, Clippers, and Toronto Raptors, leaving Rob Pelinka stuck flying the Lakers airplane in a holding pattern over Staples Center while other teams swooped in and made deals with most of the free agents that were available this summer.
All things considered, Rob Pelinka did a great job constructing the Lakers roster, which looks much better than last years version of the Lakers.
Here’s the Lakers current roster:
- LeBron James
- Anthony Davis
- Kyle Kuzma
- Danny Green
- DeMarcus Cousins
- Jared Dudley
- Troy Daniels
- Quinn Cook
- Alex Caruso
- Rajon Rondo
- JaVale McGee
- Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
- Talen Horton-Tucker
That’s a deep roster, that will definitely make the playoffs and compete for a championship.
With that said, there are three players listed above that Rob Pelinka should have sidestepped and instead looked for lesser known players who are a better fit on the Lakers.
