Here are four reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers can win the 2019-20 NBA Championship.
Just when it appeared the Los Angeles Lakers would have another poor summer in free-agency, they proved us all wrong. The Lakers failed to land Kawhi Leonard and let most top free-agents disappear from the market. However, the Lakers seemed prepared as they went on to sign some big pieces in Danny Green, DeMarcus Cousins, Quinn Cook, and Avery Bradley were all signed the last few days.
They also retained JaVale McGee, Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Alex Caruso. No, they didn’t land a superstar like many assumed would to team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. That’s fine. Had they signed Leonard or another great player, they wouldn’t be this deep of team. One can argue this is the deepest Lakers roster over the last decade. All these veteran free agent signings are quality players who know their role.
Combine their new signings with a trio of Davis, James, and Kyle Kuzma, there is no reason this team can’t win a title. In fact, it will be a championship or bust season for the Lakers. Especially considering that they traded their young core and future for Davis.
Now, I will go on to explain why the Los Angeles Lakers can be your new NBA champions.
