Danny Green recently stated that he believes one of his new teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers could be an All-Star.

One of the biggest signings for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason was the team bringing in Danny Green.

After missing out on Kawhi Leonard, the Lakers quickly got a deal with Green. As a teammate of Leonard last season, Green was able to help the Toronto Raptors win their first NBA Championship.

Prior to being traded to the Raptors, Green was also a champion with the San Antonio Spurs. Green has a lot of experience on winning teams. On those teams, Green has played with some future Hall-of-Famers, as he certainly knows what an All-Star and a great player in the NBA looks like up close.

Recently, Green spoke about Kyle Kuzma and his belief that he has the potential to be an All-Star in the NBA. Here’s what he said on ESPN Los Angeles with text via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll.

"”Every time we played against them he’s killed us. Maybe one time he didn’t. But he has a lot of potential, man. For a guy his size, he has great touch and a great understanding of the game. The young kid has only been in this league for a couple years. So he’s ahead of his time, I think he has a lot of potential to do some great things in this league, not just for our team, but for this league. I consider him a potential All-Star.”"

Kuzma is the last man standing from the impressive young core that the Lakers had last season. While some of keeping Kuzma out of the trade for Anthony Davis had to do with his contract, the Lakers are also very high on Kuzma.

Since coming into the NBA, Kuzma has shown an ability to score the basketball. For a young player, Kuzma has a pretty polished game on the offensive end. As a forward, Kuzma can hurt you from the inside or from the outside.

After some big scoring outputs the last two seasons for the Lakers, Kuzma might become an All-Star one day when the consistency gets there. He has been working hard on his shot this offseason, and he will get plenty of looks playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

As teams focus on those two, Kuzma will be one of the beneficiaries looking to make the opponent pay. Green has been in the NBA for a long time and has played with some great players. His praise of Kuzma should make fans happy that they kept him.
