As Kyle Kuzma enters his third season with the Los Angeles Lakers, here are three goals for him this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a very strong offseason this summer, and expectations are high in Los Angeles.

Due to the trade for Anthony Davis, this is a very different looking team compared to last season. While most of the young core for the Lakers is now playing in New Orleans, the Lakers did hold on to Kyle Kuzma.

Kuzma was a steal for the Lakers late in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft, as it became apparent rather quickly that Kuzma was going to be a good scorer in the NBA. The Lakers certainly value Kuzma, as he wasn’t part of the package that was sent for Davis.

As a forward that can stretch the floor and play two positions, Kuzma is certainly a valuable asset alongside LeBron James. While Kuzma might have had a bit of a sophomore slump in a couple of areas, he should be poised for a big third season.

Now that the Lakers have LeBron and Davis, Kuzma will stand out as their third option, and potentially their top option off the bench. When he is on the court with the two superstars, Kuzma will certainly have some favorable matchups.

At times last season, Kuzma was the focal point of an opposing defense. With Davis and LeBron, that likely won’t happen when he is on the court with one or both of them.

As he enters his third season, here are three goals for Kyle Kuzma next season.
