3. New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets

The NBA is all about showcasing the greatest players and teams on national television and this game could give you a little bit of both.

Denver looks like it could be one of the best teams in the league. They have a star in center Nikola Jokic and other great players in Jamal Murray and Paul Millsap. This is a great opportunity for the Nuggets to continue building a national brand. They are a deep team that won 54 games last season and could push toward 60 this season.

New Orleans looks like one of the most exciting young teams in the league. They have No. 1 overall pick, Zion Williamson, who will draw plenty of eyes throughout the season. Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball were acquired in the Anthony Davis trade from the Los Angeles Lakers. Jrue Holiday, Derrick Favors and JJ Redick will be tasked with getting this young group up to speed.

The Pelicans have a chance to challenge for a playoff spot based on the talent on their roster. However, with how competitive the Western Conference will be, and how young they are, they could find some bumpy patches.

Based on matchups alone, this has a chance to be the most lopsided Christmas Day game. The Nuggets are bringing back virtually every piece from their team last season and added another talented player in Jerami Grant. This game will have a lot of star power but could be a blowout, which is why it lands where it does on this list.
