The Los Angeles Lakers should be one of the most improved teams in the NBA this upcoming season. Here are three more teams and two honorable mentions who will also improve.
The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to make a huge leap in the 2019-20 season. After a disappointing 2018-19 season in which the Lakers won 37 games, things are expected to get a lot better.
Lakers fans are getting restless as the team has failed to make the playoffs over the last six seasons. The last time they made the playoffs was in a forgetful 2012-13 season. A season in which Kobe Bryant carried an injury-riddled team before tearing his Achilles in the final month of the season. They were swept that season by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round.
This season, the Lakers are expected to make the playoffs. In fact, many believe they will be a certainty. The addition of Anthony Davis will give the Los Angeles Lakers the most talented big man they’ve had since the early 2000s with early Shaquille O’Neal. Yes, they traded a terrific young core (Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram & Josh Hart), but Davis can go down as the most talented power forward ever.
It didn’t stop there as the Lakers added DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, and Quinn Cook. You add these talented players alongside LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma, and that can spell bad news for most, if not the entire league.
One can expect the Los Angeles Lakers to make a run in the finals, but there will be a number of other teams vying for the same thing. Here are some other teams that will greatly improve this season.
