Let’s rank the other NBA teams that Purple and Gold fans should watch during Los Angeles Lakers off days next season.

Firstly, don’t expect to find the LA Clippers on the list. Real Los Angeles Lakers fans don’t watch LA’s other team. Every time I see someone walking down the street in an ugly red and blue Clippers jersey, my heart starts beating a little a faster and I get a bit hot under the collar.

I don’t care that the Clippers landed two top-10 ten players this summer in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. I wouldn’t care if Jerry West met up with the scientists from Jurassic Park and found a way to put an 8-6 Velociraptor on the squad. Lakers Nation does not watch the Clippers unless of course, the “Blue and Red” are playing LA’s real team.

Secondly, there are no east coast teams on this list either. That’s no disrespect to the other conference. Some great squads are playing along the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the time difference that gets me. I can’t follow a team that starts most of its games at 4:00 pm in LA. That’s too early. I need time to settle in at home before I can seriously ingest a basketball game.

With that said, up next is a ranking of the four best teams for Lakers fans to follow when LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and company aren’t playing.
