It’s time to pull out our witch’s cauldron and boil up a combination of toad heads, butterfly wings, and rabbits ears so that we can predict three players who won’t stick with the Los Angeles Lakers through the end of the season.

Going into next year, the Los Angeles Lakers have title aspirations and its very common for the top teams in the NBA to make mid-season deals to bolster their chances at a championship.

Last year the NBA champion Toronto Raptors made several transactions before the trade deadline.

The Lakers are log jammed at the guard position with seven players currently under contract:

While the Lakers have a plethora of guards, LA only has three healthy bigs, capable of manning the middle:

When you couple the fact that most championship-caliber squads make at least one or 2 mid-season deals along with the Lakers excess of wings and shortage of bigs; it stands to reason that LA will make a couple of in-season moves next year.

We’ll forecast three players that will either be cut or traded during the 2019-2020 season.
