With the start of the season coming up for the Los Angeles Lakers, here are three goals for Danny Green next season.

After the Los Angeles Lakers missed out on signing Kawhi Leonard, they quickly shifted their focus to Danny Green. Like Leonard, Green was on the Toronto Raptors last season and played a big part in their success.

The championship that Green won with the Lakers was the second of his career, as he won a championship earlier in his career with the San Antonio Spurs. In that Finals, Green was lights out from three-point range, and the Spurs toppled LeBron James and the Miami Heat.

Now, Green and James will be teammates next season, and the two will be hoping to win a championship. Even though Green wasn’t their top choice in free agency, he was a good pickup for the Lakers.

Green checks a lot of the boxes that you want in a role player alongside a superstar. Green is a great three-point shooter and also a good defender. Being able to space the floor is critical when you are playing with James, and Green should be able to thrive.

The Lakers certainly have some big goals this season, and Green’s success will be important for them to accomplish those goals. While the Lakers have goals as a team, Green should have some of his own. After signing a lucrative two-year deal, expectations will be somewhat high for him. While Green won’t be a 20 points per game player, the little things he does is important for winning.

Here are three goals for Green heading into the 2019-20 season.
