The Los Angeles Lakers have big expectations for the 2019-20 season. These are the three biggest questions facing the team heading into the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to have a lot of success in 2019-20 after a forgetful 2018-19 year. Last season the Lakers went 37-45 and failed to meet expectations set on them as a sure playoff team.

Los Angeles has missed the playoffs for six straight seasons. This season that is expected to change as they will have a well-rested and healthy LeBron James to go along with Anthony Davis and a deep bench.

For the first time since his rookie season, LeBron missed the playoffs. He doesn’t know what it’s like to sit out in May and June. In fact, he had gone to eight straight finals before this past year.

By trading their young talent for superstar Anthony Davis the Lakers showed everybody that there’s no more waiting around. With LeBron entering his 17th season the Lakers have to make a title run the next two seasons. Adding Davis will give them their best shot at that.

Davis, when healthy, is the best big man in basketball and there’s not much debate. For the last five seasons, he has averaged at least 24 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks. Not only does he fill the box score he is one of the best defenders in the league.

You surround shooters with the two superstars like the Lakers did this offseason and it will pose problems for teams throughout the league.

Despite the Los Angeles Lakers being listed as one of the title favorites, they will have some questions to answer this upcoming year.
