Tier One:

Anthony Davis:

35.5 Minutes, 26.75 Points,11.5 Rebounds, 3.25 Assists,1.5 Steals, 2.25 Blocks

Anthony Davis will lead the Los Angeles Lakers in multiple stat categories this season; minutes per game, points, rebounds, blocks, and steals. Frank Vogel will want to do everything in his power to limit Anthony Davis and LeBron James’ minutes, but the Lakers regular season might not be as smooth-sailing as most people anticipate. Therefore, Vogel’s hand will be forced to pick on number three more often than he’d like, in order to secure a higher number in the win column during the regular season.

Davis leading the Lakers in scoring is a hot-take, but not a steaming one. He’s been among the league’s top scorers for several seasons now and doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down anytime soon. He’ll have no issues swatting away over two shots a night and grabbing over 11 rebounds, either. Davis is a statistics monster and his projected stat-line signifies that.

LeBron James:

34 minutes, 25.5 Points, 9.5 Assists , 6.5 Rebounds, 1.25 Steals, 56% FG

For the first time in his entire career, LeBron James won’t lead his team in points per game. This is something James will have no problem with, however, since he loves to share the ball. With Davis down-low, Kyle Kuzma roaming the entire court at all times, and acceptable 3-point shooters, LeBron should be expected to reach a career-best in assists per game.

At this point in James’ career, he couldn’t ask for a better game-plan every night as he’ll want to alleviate the offensive pressure on himself, saving his scoring for the postseason. LeBron will be efficient but will play a point guard type of role more than he ever has in his career.
