What an offseason 2019 turned out to be for the Los Angeles Lakers, right?

The Los Angeles Lakers finally made some moves, some of which are very questionable, and some of which forces us to update our jersey collection (shout out to anyone who jumped the gun on the No. 23 Anthony Davis jersey, you hate to see that).

Regardless of jersey numbers and questionable signings, the Lakers did pretty well this offseason considering where the state of the franchise was just two months ago. With that being said, they definitely have a better team this year than last year, there’s just no arguing that. I do want to take this time and say it was sad to see the young guys go.

I loved Lonzo Ball and I don’t think I have ever cared about how a player performs every game than I did for Zo. When he missed, I would get very upset. Not in the way of “if he made that shot or this shot, the Lakers would have more points” but in a way like my son, who is somehow only five years younger than me, missed the shot and there’s an emotional attachment to it.

I also had a Brandon Ingram jersey that now falls under the category of a semi-retro throwback. So it was sad to see them go but at the same time, this is the most potential a Lakers team has had going into a season since the Summer of 2012. Let’s all really, really hope this season goes a lot better than that one did.

But enough about the past. Let’s talk about the future, and more importantly, let’s try and predict the future.

Now anyone can sit down and start making lucid predictions for every player and what to expect so why not switch things up and make them more exciting. With each one, there will be some brief points on why it’s bold and why it’s realistic.

Some will be simple and some will be more in depth. Also, these do not coagulate with one another. I am not saying that all of these are going to happen together, more just hoping one or more actually come true.

So let’s do this. Let’s make some bold but very realistic predictions for our 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers.
