Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Players who must improve to win a title

Rajon Rondo, Kyle Kuzma, and Anthony Davis must improve to help the Los Angeles Lakers win a championship during the 2019-2020 season.

From 2016 through 2018, the Golden State Warriors lorded over the NBA like a British King from the 1500s.

Everything changed last postseason after Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson suffered significant injuries.

The Toronto Raptors won the title, and then many of the best free agents in the world switched squads during the first week of free agency.

Presently the NBA has more parity than we’ve seen in a long time.

Seven teams have a legitimate shot at taking home the title next season; the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Warriors, Utah Jazz, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and of course the Los Angeles Lakers.

It’s going to be extremely difficult for any team to work their way through four total playoff series against very tough competition to win a title.

The Lakers are going to need to improve across the board to have any chance of being the last team standing in 2020. That means LA’s defense must progress throughout the season, the team’s shooting will have to develop, and the men on the roster need to build excellent chemistry.

Going beyond team growth, Rondo, Kuzma, and Davis must find individual advancement as well for the Lakers to transform into a champion.
