The Los Angeles Lakers were able to pick up a 104-98 win over the Golden State Warriors. Here are three takeaways from the game.

After being swept by the Brooklyn Nets in China, the Los Angeles Lakers returned to the states to begin their final preparation for the regular season.

Even though they didn’t win either of the games against the Nets, there were certainly some positives to take away from their play. In the first game, we saw a glimpse of what the duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James could be.

If these two continue to develop their chemistry over the course of the season, the rest of the NBA is going to have a very hard time stopping them.

Since the Lakers really didn’t get any time off from their flight back, it wasn’t too surprising that they decided to rest some veterans against the Warriors on Monday night. Like the Lakers, the Warriors didn’t play a few of their key players, as D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green both sat out.

With a lot of the big names out for both teams, it allowed some younger players fighting for roles and spots on the teams get some extra run. The play was a bit sloppy at time, but there are certainly some noticeable things that happened in this game.

Even though wins and losses mean nothing in the big picture for the Lakers in the preseason, they were able to get another win over the Warriors on Monday night. Here are three takeaways from the game.
