Here are four lessons from the win for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors.

Monday night October 15th, 2019 may have shown the world that LeBron James will always find a way to make headlines even though he doesn’t see the floor in a preseason game. After the Lakers played the Nets Saturday like they were drained from all of the drama caused by the infamous Daryl Morey tweet, LeBron James made sure he and the story will be in the news until opening night at least.

Before the game, LeBron James blew up social media that will be filled with opinions, lazy analysis  and rumored statements for the next month or so. Adam Silver will be thrilled dealing with this for the rest of the week.

If you think the Los Angeles Clippers games are must see events, they might have to take a back seat to the Houston games. Sadly, the preseason game will take a back seat to the NBA media dissecting every word LeBron said before the game instead of talking about what happened in it.

Well it seems that as long as the Los Angeles Lakers stay in the U.S.A., they’ll be just fine. After getting swept by the Brooklyn Nets without their stars for the most part most notably Kyrie Irving, the Lakers can’t miss when they see Golden State. For the second time this preseason, the Lakers beat a shorthanded Warriors team without D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green, 104-98.

The Lakers took advantage of the Warriors load management schedule to do some of their own. About half of the roster took the night off which included LeBron James and Anthony Davis. To put this in proper perspective, Jared Dudley was in the starting lineup.

The Lakers again had no issues thanks to an all-around game from Dwight Howard. Kobe Bryant finished with, hold up! This isn’t 2012-13? What? The decade is almost over?

This game really shined the spotlight on the Lakers scouting team and the G-League development of their young players. The team have been wildly successful mining talent late in the draft like Kyle Kuzma, who is the only player of the young core still on the roster. With Alex Caruso taking the long road through the G-League route and 2 way contracts to get a two-year deal, it’s starting to look like the Lakers have a farm system that might be the best in the NBA.

The Lakers will finish their 2019 preseason playing the Golden State Warriors (Like again!) in the Chase Center on Wednesday. After that, these post games reports will start to mean something when they play the Los Angeles Clippers, one week from Tuesday. Debates, arguments and a bunch of “I told you so” comments for the next 82 games. Just like former Jets football player Bart Scott would say, “Can’t wait”!

Let’s get to Lake Show Life lessons.
