The Los Angeles Lakers have an enormous amount of talent on both ends of the floor and will use it to display a top-five offense and defense in this upcoming season.

The Los Angeles Lakers went out this offseason and were able to put together a good team with players that know how to play their role. They possess the tools on both offense and defense to be elite on both ends of the floor.

On offense, they have two stars to carry them along with players who can space the floor and have been able to be efficient scorers in the NBA. This will be key when it gets late in the season and the playoff push becomes imminent, as games start to slow down and become filled with more halfcourt sets as opposed to run and gun.

When you have LeBron James and Anthony Davis, your team is bound to score a lot, as they’re two of the best players on the planet on the offensive end. But there is a reason basketball is played with five guys on the court and I believe the Lakers found the right balance to pair with their duo.

On the defensive end, the Lakers went out and made some nice additions, with Avery Bradley and Danny Green to pair with Anthony Davis. All three of those have made all-defensive teams and when motivated James can still defend with the best of them.

Those three players, in addition to the other moves made by Rob Pelinka, have given the Lakers a solid roster. We will take a look at how the new players will mesh with the returning players and why the Lakers could be a top-five team on both offense and defense.
