After a dominating performance against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers will be resting some stars in the preseason finale.

Against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to have their most impressive showing of the preseason. The Lakers were able to jump out to an early lead against the Warriors, and they never looked back.

With both LeBron James and Anthony Davis back in the lineup, the Lakers offense looked the best that they have the entire preseason. Los Angeles was able to win by a score of 126-93, as they certainly caused a lot of excitement with the regular season right around the corner.

According to Bill Oram, Frank Vogel announced that LeBron James and Anthony Davis will not be playing on Friday in the preseason finale.

After seeing what the two were able to accomplish on Wednesday, there is really no reason to use Davis or LeBron in the preseason finale. They both looked great in the game, and they will be able to head into the regular-season opener with a lot of confidence.

In the win, James totaled 18 points and 11 assists in just 25 minutes. While LeBron was a very efficient scorer for the Lakers in the win, some of his passes were ridiculous.

Like James, Davis also had a strong showing in the win. Davis was nearly able to total a triple-double in 28 minutes, as he finished with eight points, eight assists, and 10 rebounds. Davis really showcased his passing ability against the Warriors, as he was on the opposite end of a few awesome lob passes in the win.

Considering how well the two played, it is wise for the Lakers to rest them in the preseason finale. If it didn’t look like the great duo was playing well together, this might have been a different discussion. However, both Davis and James look ready for the start of the regular season.
