Let’s take a look at how each player on the Los Angeles Lakers performed during the preseason.

The Los Angeles Lakers had an eventful preseason, to say the least. Anthony Davis finally made his anticipated debut for the Lakers, as well as the team playing a couple of games in China, including one with no media.

Preseason is over and the regular season is officially upon us. It was great to see the new additions and some familiar faces making big plays throughout the preseason. The Lakers finished preseason compiling a record of 3-3. Although they played six games, they played just two teams; the Warriors four times and the Nets twice in China.

The Lakers had a myriad of different starting lineups as they continued to see which players worked best with each other. Although it is not easy to gauge how a player will perform during the season compared to the preseason, it is a good first look to see how well the players work with each other.

Not every player gets a lot of minutes in the preseason because coaches are trying to get every player on the roster some playing time before the final rosters come out. A few players were waived and others were signed as the team prepares for their final roster.

In this article, we will be giving out player grades for the 2019-20 Lakers preseason roster. Players that were waived from the roster will not be given a grade. Each player’s grade will be based on how they performed and gelled with the team.

These are just preseason grades. Kind of like a practice before the final. Without further ado, lets get into it starting with the backcourt.
