With the 2019-20 NBA season finally here, the Los Angeles Lakers have a roster that has what it takes to win it all. Here is a prediction of their best five-man lineups.

Everybody is already familiar with the likes of Los Angeles Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but who else on the roster gives the Lakers the best chance at a championship? In an era of position-less basketball, expect the Lakers to push that line of thinking to the limits. This team has the pieces necessary to be both a great offensive and defensive team.

Can Rajon Rondo rebound from a ragged season? Will Danny Green continue his championship pedigree or will he suffer the infamous NBA Finals hangover? Was last season the beginning of James’ decline or just a blip on the radar? There are so many storylines to the upcoming season, but one of the biggest ones may be what our “Death Lineup” might be.

Last season’s roster featured some interesting characters in the likes of Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson. The roster, this season, possesses a more dependable bunch, to say the least. Although many guys on the team are considered more proven than that of last season, some of them will need to re-prove themselves.

For this Lakers team to meet their maximum potential, we will need to see guys like Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard become more like their old selves. Both Bradley and Howard are coming off poor seasons.

On the other hand, players such as Quinn Cook, Troy Daniels and Alex Caruso need to continue growing to provide a much-needed spark off of the bench.

Let’s take a look at what could be some of the best five-man lineups this upcoming season.
