This may be a pretty controversial pick and at the time this jersey was released most fans wouldn’t even consider this jersey a top-10, but since then, there’s something about it that works.

The Lakers debuted this jersey last season during Nike’s second year as the official jersey of the NBA and were part of a complete re-design in terms of the way jerseys are worn and characterized.

There’s something oddly unique about the way this jersey is designed, from the use of pinstripes which give it an almost business-like vibe, to the way it incorporates purple, gold, and black in the design. They are also wholly unique to the Lakers as well, as no other team in the league has a jersey similar to this design.

I know that it’s unconventional, and totally goes against the traditional designs of Lakers jerseys, but sometimes change is good and in the case of this jersey, it really is an interesting design. I always like things that are unique, and challenge the boring old conventions and this jersey is a new, interesting take for a new era in Lakers basketball.
