We are just three games into the 2019-2020 season, but the Los Angeles Lakers have already confirmed that they are one of the best teams in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers have opened the season winning two out of their first three games.

It’s nice that the Purple and Gold are winning, but LA’s record doesn’t prove the Purple and Gold are title contenders.

Many of the Lakers players have exceptional advanced stats but, it’s way too early to analyze the numbers because a three-game sample size is meaningless.

Even though wins and losses are unimportant at this stage of the season and the analytics are just hollow numbers, there are three early signs that illustrate the Lakers are one of the top-4 teams in the association.

Fans gawk at the great offensive displays some of the squads in the association put on during the year.

Excellent offense isn’t a great indicator of whether a team is ready to stomp through the league. Instead, a squad’s defense, attitude, and coaching show its championship mettle.

The Lakers have already shown the ability to play lockdown defense. Every player who suits up for the Purple and Gold is playing with a championship attitude. Plus, LA’s coaching staff has shown early on that they are better than advertised.

Up next, we’ll discuss how the Lakers check all the championship boxes.
