The Los Angeles Lakers will be getting a boost on Friday night, as Kyle Kuzma is set to return from injury.

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will be starting a road trip off in Dallas against the Mavericks.

Like the Lakers, the Mavericks are off to a good start this season. The combination of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis provides Dallas with one of the best young duos in the NBA. So far, the two have performed well together.

For the Lakers, they will be getting their young star back in the lineup for the first time all season against Dallas. After missing the first four games of the season, Kyle Kuzma is expected to make his season debut against the Mavericks.

The return of Kuzma will certainly be a boost to a Lakers team that is already on a three-game winning streak. Since the opening night loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Lakers have looked really good.

On offense, things have been running through Anthony Davis and LeBron James like we expected. On the defensive end of the court, the Lakers look like they can be one of the best defensive teams in the league.

With Kuzma coming back, the Lakers will likely bring him back into action somewhat slowly. Since he did miss a lot of time, Kuzma likely won’t be playing 30+ minutes for the first few games that he is back.

More than likely, Kuzma will be used off the bench, which makes sense from what we have seen so far this season. Against the Clippers, the Lakers certainly missed the scoring punch that Kuzma can provide, as their bench was badly outscored in their only loss of the season.

As a player that scored nearly 20 points per game last season, Kuzma will provide a big boost to the offense of the second unit. After missing the first four games of the season, it will certainly be great to see Kuzma make his season debut on Friday night.
