3. Devin Harris

A longtime veteran of the league, it’s a little surprising that Devin Harris hasn’t been able to find himself on an NBA team as of now. The 36-year-old is definitely not the player he used to be during his New Jersey Nets days where he was the team’s starting point guard, nor is he close to his Dallas Mavericks days, where he was still a solid rotation piece.

Since the 2014-2015 season, Harris’ averages have been fairly solid, at 7.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

But even if you’re not impressed by the numbers, Harris is still a veteran presence who has been in plenty of high-pressure moments and is also one of those ‘locker room’ guys that every team needs.

Although his value on both ends of the floor is pretty low at this point in his career, Harris should still be capable of playing 5-10 spot minutes should the team need him to, which is really all the Lakers would need from their third-string point guard.

The case for Harris is this; he knows how to run an offense, has been in the league almost as long as LeBron James has, and will be a great locker room presence to a team that already seems to be clicking.
