The Los Angeles Lakers were able to win their fifth straight game with a 103-96 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Here are three takeaways from the win.

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to win their fifth straight game. As the Lakers continue their road-trip, they were able to pick up another impressive win against the San Antonio Spurs.

After a thrilling win over the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers played pretty well once again against a tough opponent in the Spurs. Despite a lot of turnovers in the first quarter, the Lakers were able to play some strong defense and take lead into the second quarter.

To start the second, the Lakers really jumped out with their best quarter of the game. The Lakers held the Spurs to just 18 points, as their defense was fantastic in the period.

With a comfortable lead to start the half for the Lakers, the Spurs made their run in the third quarter. So far this season, the third quarter has been one of the best for the Lakers. However, the Spurs won the third by 10 points and made this a ball game heading into the fourth.

Despite the game being tied late, the Lakers went on a nice run in the final few minutes to come away with a win.

Overall, this was another great road win for the Lakers. The Spurs are always a tough task at home, and beating them is just another indication that the Lakers are a team to be feared this season.

With their fifth win under their belts, here are three takeaways from the win over the Spurs.
