The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be without Avery Bradley for at least a couple of weeks. How will this impact the team?

Despite being off to a 9-2 start, the Los Angeles Lakers have had to deal with some nagging injuries.

To start the season, Kyle Kuzma and Rajon Rondo were both out. Both are now back on the court, but are still working their way back into game shape. For Kuzma, we have seen him recently breakthrough with a couple of solid games in a row.

Rondo is still on a minutes restriction, as he came back a little later than Kuzma did. However, it looked like the Lakers were on the right track toward getting fully healthy.

Unfortunately, the Lakers also have their superstar Anthony Davis dealing with a shoulder injury. Davis missed the Lakers’ last game against the Golden State Warriors because of the shoulder. While it doesn’t appear to be anything major, it is something that the team is keeping an eye on.

Now, the Lakers will have another injury to overcome, as Avery Bradley has a hairline fracture in his leg.

Per the report, Bradley will be re-evaluated in a few weeks, which seems like when we will get a better idea of how long he is out for. However, as the starting point guard for the Lakers, this is a blow to the team.

So far this season, Bradley is averaging 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Bradley has done a very nice job for the Lakers on the offensive end of the court, but it is on the defensive end of the court where he will be missed the most.

The Lakers have been one of the best defensive teams in the league so far this season, and a lot of that has to do with the defense of Bradley up top on opposing guards.

With Bradley out, expect to see a lot more of Alex Caruso and Quinn Cook. Rondo will also be in the mix for some more minutes when he has his minutes restriction lifted. For as long as Bradley is out, it will be interesting to see how the Lakers perform on the defensive end of the court.
