The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be without Avery Bradley for the next week or two and these three players are going to need to step up in his absence.
The Los Angeles Lakers have dealt with several injuries already during the 2019-20 season. Rajon Rondo has played in only two games thus far this season and Kyle Kuzma missed the first four games of the season.
With those two players back on the court, the Lakers finally had their full rotation available. However, they didn’t make it very long before losing another player to the injury list. Now, Avery Bradley will be sidelined for multiple games.
Back on Sunday, Nov. 3, Bradley injured his leg against the San Antonio Spurs. He looked to have avoided an extended absence, as he missed only the following game against the Chicago Bulls before returning to the court.
Despite the injury, Bradley was playing some solid basketball for the purple and gold. His tenacious defense has carried over from the offseason when he was being praised for it. While he was looking good, he underwent more testing and it was revealed that he was injured.
Bradley will miss at least 1-2 weeks before he is re-evaluated. If he misses the full two weeks, he will be out at least eight games, putting him on track to return in December. Hopefully, the injury can heal in that amount of time and Bradley is back on the court sooner than later.
With Bradley sidelined, the Lakers lineup will have to be adjusted. He was averaging 27.4 minutes per game, which was third-most on the team behind only Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
That is a lot of minutes that Frank Vogel will have to figure out how to fill. Not only that, he needs to find a fifth starter now since Bradley had started every game that he has appeared in this season.
It will be a team effort to replace Bradley, but these three players will be relied upon to step up with Bradley out of the lineup.
