The Los Angeles Lakers travel to face the New Orleans Pelicans tonight and these four players are worth keeping an eye on.

The Los Angeles Lakers are on fire right now. They are the hottest team in the NBA, riding an eight-game winning streak with the best record in the league at 15-2. However, tonight’s game will be an emotional one for multiple reasons.

Los Angeles will head on the road to play against the New Orleans Pelicans. Normally, a Lakers vs. Pelicans game wouldn’t be too hot of a ticket. This one, however, will be an emotional game as it will be the first time the teams have played against each other since the blockbuster trade this offseason.

Tonight will mark the first time Anthony Davis will be back in New Orleans after he rubbed some people the wrong way on his way out. He will be motivated to play in front of his old fans, as you know the youngsters the Lakers traded away, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart, will all be amped up as well.

This will not be a cakewalk game for Los Angeles. After starting the season 1-6, the Pelicans have begun turning things around, as they come into this game not 6-11. They are riding a two-game losing streak, but you know they will be motivated to snap that streak tonight given the circumstances.

A big issue for the Pelicans this season has been injuries. Zion Williamson has yet to play in a game, while Kenrich Williams is the only person to appear in all 17 games for the team thus far.

Despite that, this is a dangerous, young team. The Lakers have to come ready to play, or they will head back home with a loss on their record.

These four players will play a big part in determining which team comes out as victors tonight.
