Los Angeles Lakers: 5 takeaways from four-game road trip
The Los Angeles Lakers kept up their winning ways during their four-game road trip. We take a look back at the road trip and go over some takeaways from the games.
No matter where the Los Angeles Lakers are playing basketball, they are winning games. They just finished up another four-game road trip and for the second time this season, they went undefeated on a road trip.
The Lakers finished up their back-to-back with the Oklahoma City Thunder with a victory before taking a trip through the Southwest Division. Following the Thunder victory, Los Angeles went on to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans.
All four games were hard-fought. The Lakers were losing at halftime of all four games, yet came out victorious in all four. Only the game with the Spurs, which was a 10-point victory, was decided by more than four points.
With the four victories, the Lakers are now riding a nine-game winning streak, which is tied for the longest in the league with the Milwaukee Bucks. Los Angeles’ record stands at 16-2, which is the best in the Western Conference and NBA, as they are rolling right now.
While they are playing some good basketball right now, this trip wasn’t all positive. They got the victories, which is what matters most at the end of the day, but against some of the better teams in the NBA, they may not come away with as positive of results.
Let’s take a deeper dive into the four-game road trip and go over some takeaways from the games.
