The Los Angeles Lakers remain tied as the best team in the league after an undefeated week on the road.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, and Atlanta Hawks to kick off their five-game road trip with a record of 3-0. In addition to being undefeated on the road for the month of December, the Lakers have now won extending their road win streak to 14 games.

The team continued to showcase their defensive dominance by posting a defensive rating of 97.7 over the week – ranking third overall during that span.

Avery Bradley returned against the Magic after missing 13 games due to a hairline fracture. For the week he averaged five points, 1.3 rebounds, and one steal during 19.8 minutes played. Rajon Rondo also returned against the Heat after missing two games due to a hamstring injury.

While Los Angeles benefited with Bradley and Rondo back on the floor, the team lost Kyle Kuzma as he was sidelined with an ankle injury for the week. The team also waived rookie Zach Norvell and replaced his two-way contract with Devontae Cacok.

This week, the Lakers will complete their road trip with games against the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks. The team will return home on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in a matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

Let’s take an in-depth look at the week that was for the Lakers.
