With a huge showdown coming against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers will hopefully have Anthony Davis back.

The Los Angeles Lakers had their 14-game road winning streak snapped on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers. In the loss, the Lakers were short-handed, as they were without both Kyle Kuzma and Anthony Davis.

Even though the Lakers were without two of their top players, they really gave the Pacers a run for their money. With the game close late, the Lakers fell just short, as some missed free throws really came back to bite them.

On Thursday, the Lakers will be looking to start a new a winning streak against the best team in the Eastern Conference.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been great once again this season, as they have the best record in the East. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing like an MVP and the rest of the team is feeding off him.

For the Lakers, it was clear that they missed Davis against the Pacers. While the Lakers did have a good performance, they certainly needed him to get the win. On the Dan Patrick Show, Davis said that he hopes to play.

"“Hopefully. That’s the plan. We’ll see how the ankle feels and hopeful I’m able to play.”"

Davis saying that he hopes to play is certainly good news. This injury isn’t considered to be serious for Davis, so a return on Thursday is certainly possible. This season, Davis is averaging 27.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.

On both the offensive and defensive end of the court, Davis has a huge impact for the Lakers. Since the Bucks have some big men that can space the floor, having Davis on the defensive end of the court to keep up with them on the perimeter could be very important.

With this being a potential NBA Finals preview, we will hopefully see Davis in the lineup against the Bucks. If Davis is unable to go, he should be back soon.
