As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare for a huge Christmas Day showdown, it appears like they will have both of their superstars in the lineup.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing one of their biggest games of the season on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Clippers.

After a ridiculous start to the season, the Lakers have fallen on some tough times in their last few games. With three straight losses to the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets, the Lakers will really want to get this win on Christmas Day.

In their last game against the Denver Nuggets, we saw the Lakers without LeBron James for the first time all season. As expected, the Lakers were unable to keep up with the Nuggets for the entire game without their star.

Luckily, it appears like LeBron James and Anthony Davis will both be in the lineup in arguably the biggest game on Christmas.

Having both James and Davis against the Clippers will mean that this will be the first time this season that two stars of both the Lakers and Clippers will be in the game. On Opening Night, the Clippers were without Paul George.

The Clippers were able to beat the Lakers that night, as Leonard played at a very high level. In the 10-point win for the Clippers, Leonard led the way with 30 points.

With both Leonard and George healthy, the Clippers are starting to make their move up in the Western Conference standings. The Lakers are still in first with a 2.5 game lead on the Nuggets, but the three-game losing skid has resulted in things getting a tad tighter.

Due to injuries, the Christmas Day slate of games isn’t as good as it usually is. However, the matchup between the Clippers and the Lakers should live up to the hype. Coming in with a three-game losing streak and having already lost to the Clippers once this season, expect a motivated Lakers team on Christmas Day.
