The Los Angeles Lakers are playing good basketball this season. They sit at the top of the Western Conference and the chemistry has been great thus far. Their depth on the wing is deep and their rotation at the center position has given defenses a hard time containing.
Each year a team hopes to have one breakout player at least help their team contend. It could be excelling on defense, improving their 3-point shot, polishing their all-around game and so much more. The Lakers have a window of an opportunity right now to win a championship and they need to use it.
The duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James is one of the best in the NBA. But with every team, just a duo isn’t good enough in this game anymore to win a championship like it was 10 years ago. So guys stepping up with bigger roles plays a huge key in what the Lakers want to accomplish.
This team is different than in the past. The main component that will decide where they go this season will be health. They’ve already battled the injury bug this season with Bron, AD, Avery Bradley and Kyle Kuzma all with some sort of injury.
