– Improve 3-point shooting

As a power forward/center, Davis is one of the most versatile big men in the NBA. Guys who are nearly 7’0” should not be able to move around the way Davis does, as his late growth spurt in life helped him develop guard skills early on.

Davis is one of the most polished offensive players in the league for a big man, as he can hurt an opposing big in the post, mid-range, or off the dribble. If there is one criticism for Davis’ offensive game so far this season, it would be his shooting from 3-point range.

This season, Davis is averaging a career-high of 3.7 attempts from 3-point range so far this season. Compared to his time in New Orleans, this is a significant jump, but unfortunately his percentage is down a tad.

Davis is currently shooting just 28.7 percent from 3-point range this season, which isn’t a very good number for someone taking nearly four attempts a game. Even just getting that number to over 30 percent would look a lot more respectable for Davis considering he is generally one of the biggest players on the court.

As we head into 2020, Davis should focus on either improving as a three-point shooter or looking to take a few less attempts per game from deep.
