Although the Los Angeles Lakers are looking great with a strong record, there’s still room for improvement. There are three players who, if given more playing time, can help the team get even better.
The Los Angeles Lakers have survived a tough last few weeks that saw them play a seemingly endless string of road games and sustain some injuries to their key guys. Nonetheless, they finished December with a 9-5 record, which is great considering the strength of their schedule.
But there’s so much basketball yet to be played this season.
Although their schedule will even out from now on and feature a good number of home games, the Lakers have yet to play the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. L.A. will get their first look at each of those three teams in January.
Of course, they still haven’t beaten the Los Angeles Clippers, and will have two more games this season against Kawhi Leonard and company.
For the Los Angeles Lakers to continue to progress towards their goal of winning the NBA world championship, certain guys need to step up.
For a few, it’s mostly a matter of getting more playing time, which will lead to them getting into a better rhythm on the offensive end.
Here are three players in particular who haven’t gotten the playing time they probably deserve, but have the ability to help this Lakers team continue to get better as the playoffs approach.
