It’s been an up-and-down 10 years for the Los Angeles Lakers. But they have had some good talent come through at the power forward position. We take a look at the top 5 of the 2010’s decade.

The Los Angeles Lakers since 2013, have not enjoyed much success. They have missed the playoffs for six straight seasons and have accumulated one of the worst records in basketball over that stretch. It all dates back to Kobe Bryant tearing his Achilles.

Luckily for the Lakers, they seem destined to end that drought this season. As they sit at the top of the West, they will be in play for a top-three seed as long as they’re healthy. Health is the big question mark that remains with this team though as they’re already dealing with injuries to their superstar duo.

During the 2010s the Lakers didn’t have many positions where there was a lot of talent coming through. Small forward and point guard were a tough list to compile, center got a little bit better and then here we are at power forward. There are some good names on the list here that provided value.

The list contains players that have made contributions to the Lakers and doesn’t take into account how they played for other teams. From 2010-2013 the Lakers were playoff contenders and had a few names at the power forward position that helped them.

As we go through the list, each player has a different game. Some of the players enjoyed playoff success with the team and some were caught in the bad days of the team. Team success didn’t discredit anyone from the list.

Let’s take a look at the top five power forwards for the Lakers in the 2010’s decade. Then let’s hope for more continuity and success leading into the 2020’s decade, as a new era is set to begin.
