The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to gear up for a deep postseason run, and that may mean making some trades to sure up the roster before it is too late. Take a look at the four most likely players to get dealt before the trade deadline on February 6th.

Yup it is that time of year, NBA trade season, and that means most Los Angeles Lakers players are involved in some type of trade rumor. This year it is because most people believe that they need a little more fire power to capitalize on LeBron James and Anthony Davis championship window.

Los Angeles is off to their best start since they were a perennial championship contender, but that does not mean there is no room for improvement. The team has relied heavily on their two superstars in James and AD. Furthermore, they could use some help by moving some of their role players at the trade deadline.

They did a better job of filling out the roster in free agency than last season, but they still swung and missed on some of their acquisitions from this offseason, and that is why they are in a familiar position. The plan was to surround James and AD with shooters, but the problem is the sharpshooters they signed are not hitting their threes when they are given their limited opportunities.

It would be very beneficial if they could add another perimeter scorer that is a threat to knock down an open three. They should also be in the market for another wing defender that can help defend the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, when they have to face them in a playoff series.

Taking that into consideration, as well as the multitude of no trade clauses the Lakers have to work around, there are only a few players that could potentially be dealt at the deadline. Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and JaVale McGee all have an automatic no trade clause because they signed back-to-back one-year deals with the Lakers.

So far, the Lakers have been linked to players like Derrick Rose, Bogdan Bogdanović, and Robert Covington to name a few that would upgrade the roster. Yet fans should pump the breaks a bit because those are just rumors and the Lakers might have to pull a rabbit out of their hat to make a deal for anyone of those proven veterans.

Maybe since they are sitting as the top seed in the West, they do not need to shake up the roster at all. But their flaws have been exposed against some of the better teams in the league this season, so if they have a chance to improve the roster they should jump at the opportunity.

Here are the four most likely players to get moved at the trade deadline to bring in some reinforcements.
