4. Troy Daniels

The biggest knock on the 2018-19 iteration of the Lakers was that it was void of any sharpshooters that could knock down threes consistently. That was obviously the biggest reason why Troy Daniels was one of the first veterans the Lakers signed during free agency.

They signed him for the veteran minimum for one year and $1.6 million, so they did not invest much to bring him in. But they had to think they were going to get better than 35 percent from three and 4.2 points per game that he has produced thus far.

His performance from three-point range is pretty shocking because he shot 40 percent from three for his career prior to his arrival in Los Angeles. If he is not knocking down his shots, there is not much else Daniels is good for on the roster because his size limits his defensive ability.

His small contract and his limited production make it hard to get any value back for Daniels if he is moved. But if a deal for him does happen, he would probably be a money filler in a deal that involved multiple Lakers being traded for a player with a larger contract.

There are also rumors that Darren Collison is mulling over returning to the NBA and one of his preferred destinations is the Lakers. The Lakers can use their disabled player exception for Cousins worth $1.75 million, but if Cousins is moved in a deal before Collison decides to sign, it would not be surprising to see someone like Daniels get waived to open up the roster spot.
