The Los Angeles Lakers are going on the road again to face off against the Mavericks, here’s the 3 keys to victory.

The Los Angeles Lakers come into this game very relieved after Anthony Davis’ scary fall appears to not be as bad as it initially looked. The Athletic’s Shams Charania helped ease Lakers fans nerves when he reported that Davis’ MRI on his tailbone came back negative and he would be traveling to Dallas and OKC with the team.

Shortly after the Shams report, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that the Lakers’ superstar would be listed as questionable heading into Friday night’s game.

The Lakers lost 4 straight in December during a tough bit of their schedule, but have bounced back since, winning their last 6 games in a row.

One of those wins was against this Dallas Mavericks team and their 20-year-old young phenom, Luka Dončić. The Lakers won that game convincingly with their defense, holding the Mavs to an astounding 36% shooting from the field. The final score was 95-103, but the win felt more emphatic than that score shows.

In other injury report news, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reports that Avery Bradley is questionable after leaving practice today with a fever, also stating that LeBron James will be listed as probable due to his flu-like symptoms. However, expect LeBron to play since he toughed it out dealing with the same sickness last game, especially if AD isn’t available to play.

On the Mavericks side of things, they also are dealing with an injury to a member of their star due, Kristaps Porziņģis, who has missed his last 5 games with a knee injury. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported today that Porzinģis with miss his 6th straight against the Lakers.

Despite both teams missing a star player, I believe this will be a very entertaining game. Anytime you have Luka Vs. LeBron, you are bound to witness some incredible basketball. The Mavericks will also surely be playing extremely hard considering they have lost 4 out of their last 6, they are now only 2 games ahead of OKC for the 6th seed.

Now, let’s get into 3 keys to winning this game.
