The Los Angeles Lakers played the Oklahoma City Thunder in a back to back without LeBron James, Danny Green and Anthony Davis.  Lake Show Life Lessons is about the players in trade rumors!

The Los Angeles Lakers have two superstars in Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The Lakers have veteran leadership thanks to Rob Pelinka’s offseason construction. The Lakers have an All-Star lineup coaching staff. But what gets lost in all of this is the Lakers have a winning culture with a system to keep things running smooth no matter what the circumstances are.

Lake Show Life had some observations the Lakers did to turn things around for 2020. Two things come to mind. One, the article was spot on as they broke numerous defensive bad habits in their losing streak and two, the Lakers haven’t lost in 2020. The Lakers not only have shored up their defense, but their offense is starting to catch a serious groove. Again, the NBA might be in trouble.

One night after running up the score in the first quarter on the Dallas Mavericks scoring a season-high 45 points without Anthony Davis, the Lakers got cocky and tried their luck the next night adding Danny Green and LeBron James to the street clothes modeling troupe. With the Lakers playing the scalding hot Oklahoma City Thunder on the second night of a back-to-back, most thought this could be a loss.

Instead, Rajon Rondo and Kyle Kuzma staged a repeat performance as the Lakers ran out to a 41-19 lead after one period. Despite a few runs by the Thunder in the second half, Kyle Kuzma sent OKC home with a ridiculous off-balance fade away 27 footer and closed out the Lakers 125-110 win.

Believe it or not Lakers fans, this will not stop the trade rumors from dogging Kuzma. Lake Show Life will do its due diligence breaking down all scenarios even though they will become dumber by each passing game. For all the fans that did not believe that Kyle Kuzma will be in purple and gold after February 6th, start paying attention to this site.

The overall performance against the Thunder that showed this team is on a mission to dominate every team they play. They are showing the toughness that was needed based on the physical Knicks game earlier this week.

Dwight Howard talked about dominant starts on the road a few weeks ago via Silver Screen and Roll.

"“When we get on the road we want to dominate. We want to come out, get our fans on our side early and go out there and win the game. It’s tough winning on the road, especially when we’re going to get teams’ best shot every single night, but this team is built for it. We have experience playing this game, so we understand the difficulties playing on the road.”"

Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel is sleepwalking his way to another NBA Coach of the Month award for the second straight month. Between Vogel and the coaching staff, they have set up a system that will not allow the team to let up even without three starters. They as a staff prepared this team to dominate anyway. The Lakers are a playoff team and they are a close-knit group. They are having a lot of fun in this journey. Now players are doing player interviews! Who in the NBA is doing that these days?

The Lakers have run their win streak to 8 games and sit one game in the loss column behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the NBA’s best record at 32-7.  They go home to meet up with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Staples Center on Monday. Usually this would the time of the post game report to warn fans of a trap game, but after this game, not likely.

Maybe the only question surrounding this game is if rumors get started linking Kyle Kuzma to Kevin Love.

Let’s get to Lake Show Life Lessons!
